Amber Nova - Global Force Wrestling

This beautiful young lady is female wrestler Amber Nova.
Amber currently works for Global Force Wrestling (Impact Wrestling, TNA Wrestling, etc), but she has also worked for Championship Wrestling Entertainment (CWE) and a few others.
She stands five foot four, weighs 101 pounds and was trained by Chasyn Rance and Aaron Epic.
Amber was born on November 2, 1991, in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina and made her wrestling debut in 2016.
It may just be me, but she reminds me a LOT of Trisa Laughlin aka Beulah McGillicutty from ECW.

Help Us Gail Kim...You're Our Only Hope!

Well maybe not the "only" hope (there is another...LOL), but Gail Kim is the one constant the TNA Knockout division has.
Her resume is quite impressive....
She's been wrestling for 13 years.
A year after her debut she won the Apocalypse Wrestling Federation Diva of the Year award.
She won the Funkin' Conservatory FC Women's Championship.

She has held the WWE Women's Championship (the real one, not the stupid "Butterfly Belt".
Gail has held the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship, the TNA Women's Knockout Championship three times, she was the Knockout of the Year in 2007, and in 2013, she was crowned the "Queen of the Knockouts" after beating Hannah Blossom, Jackie Moore, Lei'D Tapa, Mickie James, Velvet Sky, Miss Tessmacher, ODB and Tara.
And in 2012, Pro Wrestling Illustrated named her #1 on their of the best 50 female singles wrestlers, the PWI Female 50.
After losing Mickie James and Tara...TNA best hold onto Gail.

The TNA Knockouts Roster

   Remember when TNA Knockout matches were like this?



Well they went from what could have been the best female wrestling roster in Pro Wrestling to just hanging on by a thread.
Right now the TNA Knockouts roster is comprised of Brooke, Gail Kim, Lei'D Tapa, the returning Madison Rayne, ODB and Velvet Sky with Taryn Terrell inactive due to maternity leave.
I hope there's a TNA when she comes back.
It really looks kind of bleak.

Now if we could have the "Knockout Knockdown" PPV roster as their regular set-up....THEN we would be talking.
Alissa Flash, Ivelisse, Mia Yim, Santana, Trinity, Jackie Moore, Hannah Blossom, Jillian Hall and Serena?
That would make me as Phil Robertson says...."Happy Happy Happy."
But with TNA in the shape it's in now. I don’t hold much hope for that.

TNA-Tara Released

Yep, once again Tara (Lisa Marie Varon) is gone from wrestling.
On Tuesday TNA Tweeted....
"Impact Wrestling has released Tara. We thank Tara for all her contributions and wish her the best of success in the future."

Well there was a rumor that Lisa Marie was thinking about retiring soon. this year maybe.
But that doesn't make me any happier about it.

And I'm wondering if TNA is trying to kill the Knockouts Division ....again...
There are now left with:
Gail Kim
Mickie James
Miss Tessmacher (Inactive)
ODB (Knockouts referee)
Taryn Terrell
Velvet Sky

So you have FIVE women on the roster.
Are they calling up the reserves from OVW or is this just about it?
Maybe they should slap some tights on Brooke and throw her out there....

Mickie James To Turn Heel?

On Tuesday, May 7th, 2013, TNA Knockout Mickie James' follow-up to her 2010 debut album "Strangers & Angels", "Somebody’s Gonna Pay" will drop.
And it looks like in celebration of the event, TNA will be turning her Heel.
Maybe.
Mickie addressed the "Heel Turn" in an interview....
"I was glad that Velvet was back; I thought it was awesome. But what was the point in bringing me back in December] if you were just going to bring her back a week later and then I was going to sit at home?"
"I know people question that like ‘Oh are you turning heel?’ And I’m like ‘No, not really. I’m just being honest."

Well if she does turn Heel , it looks like it will be an intelligent turn and not some off the cuff event that happens now and then.
She's already laying the groundwork in interviews and it sounds as though it may be a sympathetic turn.
Mickie turning Heel wouldn't bother me in the least as I have made no secret that she was one of my favorite psycho heels of all time in the WWE.
Psycho Mickie and Psycho Tara would be a dream come true for me.

Tara - TNA Women's Knockout Champion Again

On October 14 at the TNA PPV Bound for Glory, Tara defeated Miss Tessmacher to win the TNA Women's Knockout Championship for her fifth time.

This makes her a 5 time TNA Women's Knockout Champion, a one time TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion (with Brooke Tessmacher) and a 2 time WWE Women's Champion.
Her fifth reign in TNA ties her with former TNA Knockout Angelina Love who also held the belt five times.

I'm really happy that TNA decided to put the strap around Tara's waist again.
I'll even forgive the "Hollywood boyfriend", Jessie Godderz thing.

Velvet Sky Leaves TNA...For The WWE Maybe?

Yep, TNA's most popular female wrestler Velvet Sky has been released.
She confirmed her release on Twitter on June 26th....

"I have been granted my release by TNA at this time. It's what's best for me right now and I wanted to thank TNA and I also want to thank Vince Russo for creating and believing in the team of The Beautiful People. We had a great run!"

The big rumor at the moment is that Velvet is headed to the WWE.
They could really use her, but what they could use more is Velvet and Angelina Love reforming "The Beautiful People" in the WWE.
Can you imagine The Beautiful People with Eve as their manager?

Last Night at the WWE "Night Of Champions" PPV, Kelly retained her WWE Divas Championship.
K2 came out to the boos of the crowd which really wasn't much of a suprise.



No...not because she can't wrestle, it was because they were in Buffalo, New York where the announcers said Beth was from.
Actually Beth was born and raised in Elmira, New York which is like 150 miles from Buffalo but what the heck....
Anyway, The crowd treated K2 to a "Kelly sucks" chant during the beginning of the match but the crowd loved it when Beth grabbed Kelly, draped her over her knee and spanked her two or three times.
She followed that up with a clothesline and a superplex from the top rope.
The end of the match came when Beth went for the Glam Slam but Kelly slid out and rolled Beth up to get the three count.
Again, K2 was treated to huge boos for her effort.

Remember when Trish Stratus and Mickie James had their feud?
Trish was supposed to be the good guy, but she got booed and no matter how psycho Mickie acted, she got cheered.
Maybe all this booing will help ease K2 into that heel role.....

Happy Birthday April Hunter!

Since her birthday is in a couple of days (September 24th), here is April Hunter.
April has to be one of the (if not the) most popular Indy wrestlers of all time.
She has not only worked the Indy wrestling promotions, but you may recall that she was at one time with World Championship Wrestling (WCW) as a member of the nWo girls along with Tylene Buck, Kim Kanner (Shakira), Midajah and Pamela Paulshock.

April isn't just another pretty face (and everything else), she was trained by the late Wladek (Walter) "Killer" Kowalski, one of the great wrestlers and trainers of all time.
And April has wrestled with more Indy promotions than you can shake a stick at including Women's Extreme Wrestling, USA Pro Wrestling, Jersey All Pro Wrestling, Queens of Chaos and German Stampede Wrestling.


Besides the Indy circuit and WCW, April has appeared on TNA a couple of times, the most recent being on the December 31, 2009, episode of TNA Impact!
She and Lorelei Lee (Wrestlicious' Tyler Texas) tag-teamed against the TNA Knockout Tag Team Champions Sarita and Taylor Wilde, but lost.

Carmella DeCesare - WWE Divas

Carmella Danielle DeCesare Garcia (born July 1, 1982) is an American model and a former WWE RAW diva who was Playboy magazine's Miss April 2003 and Playmate of the Year for 2004. She is of Italian and Puerto Rican descent.

DeCesare was born in Avon Lake, Ohio and lives in Manhattan Beach, California. She graduated from Avon Lake High School in 2000, and later worked at a title company in the Cleveland area. She responded to Playboy's "Who Wants to Be a Playboy Centerfold?" search when it came to Cleveland and was selected as a finalist for the competition. However, she had second thoughts and withdrew early in the taping of material for the Fox Network special that aired in the summer of 2002. DeCesare then changed her mind about posing for Playboy again, and was quickly named Cyber Girl of the Week in October, 2002, Cyber Girl of the Month in February, 2003, before being selected as Playboy's Miss April, 2003.

She competed in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) $250,000 RAW Diva Search and came in second to Christy Hemme. Though she came in second, she developed as a jealous heel and WWE decided to keep her temporarily. She competed in a match against Christy at Taboo Tuesday 2004 in a losing effort and appeared several times on the WWE's RAW show until she was released by the company shortly there after. The song Carmella used as her theme while working with the WWE was "Bodytalk" by Kynady Lee; the song was later used by Amy Weber. She also appeared on the game shows Family Feud on May 10, 2004, the Howard Stern Show, and Street Smarts.

DeCesare married Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jeff Garcia on April 21, 2007 at the CordeValle Resort in San Martin, California. Although she is still known professionally as Carmella DeCesare, she now publicly refers to herself as Carmella Garcia. In an May 2007 interview with the Calgary Sun, Jeff Garcia intimated that since DeCesare is now his wife she will distance herself from Playboy. The article also reported that DeCesare was trying to get a job as a Tampa Bay Buccaneers sideline reporter. DeCesare is listed as the vice-president of Garcia's charity, the Garcia Pass It On Foundation.

Lita / Amy Dumas News

Wrestlezone is reporting that Lita has a new boyfriend and they are very happy together.
I know that she left the WWE in bad circumstances as far as the fans go, but I'm very happy to hear that she has made a new life after wrestling and is happy.
Actually, I wish she'd come back to the squared circle, at least occasionally. One of my best memories of her was her return after her neck injury.
The way she came in and saved Trish, then wiped the mat up with Molly Holly and Gail Kim was priceless.
To me, THAT was Lita.

Dawn's 37, she's getting back into shape after giving birth.
Dixie Carter, the owner of TNA, has been friends with Dawn ever since the WWE fired her while she was pregnant.
I still think that was such a class move from the WWE.

G.I. Hoe is a female professional wrestler that wrestles for WEW.
I know WEW sounds pretty much like an updated GLOW, but look at some of the wrestlers that have worked for them....
Tracy Brooks, Mickie James (Alexis Laree ) ,Angel Williams, Tímea Vágvölgyi, Mercedes Martinez and Shelly Martinez, so WEW is not exactly a joke.
But like GLOW, they replace wrestlers sometimes. Pictured above is the original (I think) G.I. Hoe
