TNA Knockouts - Brittany Turns on Madison

Of course we all saw this coming...Brittany turned on Madison Rayne.
Especially if you watched the WWE long ago and remember Trish and Mickie James.
I really wish Brittany would let her hair go back to black and leave the bad dye jobs to Cameron.

That looks hot for some reason and I cant figure out why.

The Alpha Female and Lei'd Tapa In TNA

Of course I am happy to see the Alpha Female in TNA.
I'm happy to see any good wrestler get a big break like this.
I thought the pairing of AF and Lei'd Tapa was inspired.

I hate to say this...but it really is about 400 pounds of dominate powerful athletes versus what, 300 pounds of basically bikini models?
Alpha and Lei'd should have crushed them outright.
Maybe played with them a bit to show their dominance...then pinned them.
And that's pretty much what they did.

Lei'd ended the match with her Fireman's carry stunner that looked like it almost broke Madison in half.

Of course after the match there was an attempted beat down that was broken up by ODB.
I'm sorry, but I cant see ODB taking out Alpha, Lei'd AND Gail Kim all at once.
Sorry.

Gail Kim vs Shanna aka Portugals Perfect Athlete - TNA Xplosion

On TNA Xplosion, two of the hottest women in wrestling today (well...in my opinion) Gail Kim and Portugal's Perfect Athlete Shanna face off.
Of course my love of Gail Kim is pretty well know.
Okay...admiration...love sounds too stalkerish, and I am really taken by Shanna as well.

So to me this was a potentially great match-up.
And it was decent.

You had the Gail Kim smack talk at the beginning followed by Shanna taking the advantage.
(Did anybody else think Shanna was dressed like WWE era Victoria?)

But then of course Gail started to work on the leg and you knew what was gonna happen.

Madison Rayne Is Back In TNA And Better Than Ever

Yes "The Queen Bee" is back in TNA and I think she may look better than ever.
After taking some time off to do fitness competitions and have a baby, she is back in the ring in TNA.

She came back on December 12th and immediately got in the faces of her former partner (and current the Knockouts Champion) Gail Kim and her bodyguard Lei'D Tapa.
Think AJ and Tamina in WWE.
Madison got back in the ring officially on December 19th, teaming with ODB to defeat Lei'D Tapa and Gail Kim, pinning Gail in the process.

Then on January 2nd, she took Gail on in the open challenge match, beating her and getting a shot at the TNA Women's Knockout Championship.
I for one am happy to see her back.
She's a welcome addition to the TNA Knockout roster.

Help Us Gail Kim...You're Our Only Hope!

Well maybe not the "only" hope (there is another...LOL), but Gail Kim is the one constant the TNA Knockout division has.
Her resume is quite impressive....
She's been wrestling for 13 years.
A year after her debut she won the Apocalypse Wrestling Federation Diva of the Year award.
She won the Funkin' Conservatory FC Women's Championship.

She has held the WWE Women's Championship (the real one, not the stupid "Butterfly Belt".
Gail has held the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship, the TNA Women's Knockout Championship three times, she was the Knockout of the Year in 2007, and in 2013, she was crowned the "Queen of the Knockouts" after beating Hannah Blossom, Jackie Moore, Lei'D Tapa, Mickie James, Velvet Sky, Miss Tessmacher, ODB and Tara.
And in 2012, Pro Wrestling Illustrated named her #1 on their of the best 50 female singles wrestlers, the PWI Female 50.
After losing Mickie James and Tara...TNA best hold onto Gail.

The TNA Knockouts Roster

   Remember when TNA Knockout matches were like this?



Well they went from what could have been the best female wrestling roster in Pro Wrestling to just hanging on by a thread.
Right now the TNA Knockouts roster is comprised of Brooke, Gail Kim, Lei'D Tapa, the returning Madison Rayne, ODB and Velvet Sky with Taryn Terrell inactive due to maternity leave.
I hope there's a TNA when she comes back.
It really looks kind of bleak.

   Now they are more like this.....

Now if we could have the "Knockout Knockdown" PPV roster as their regular set-up....THEN we would be talking.
Alissa Flash, Ivelisse, Mia Yim, Santana, Trinity, Jackie Moore, Hannah Blossom, Jillian Hall and Serena?
That would make me as Phil Robertson says...."Happy Happy Happy."
But with TNA in the shape it's in now. I don’t hold much hope for that.

TNA-Tara Released

Yep, once again Tara (Lisa Marie Varon) is gone from wrestling.
On Tuesday TNA Tweeted....
"Impact Wrestling has released Tara. We thank Tara for all her contributions and wish her the best of success in the future."

Well there was a rumor that Lisa Marie was thinking about retiring soon. this year maybe.
But that doesn't make me any happier about it.

And I'm wondering if TNA is trying to kill the Knockouts Division ....again...

Miss Tessmacher (Inactive)
ODB (Knockouts referee)

So you have FIVE women on the roster.
Are they calling up the reserves from OVW or is this just about it?

Mickie James To Turn Heel?

On Tuesday, May 7th, 2013, TNA Knockout Mickie James' follow-up to her 2010 debut album "Strangers & Angels", "Somebody’s Gonna Pay" will drop.
And it looks like in celebration of the event, TNA will be turning her Heel.
Maybe.
Mickie addressed the "Heel Turn" in an interview....
"I was glad that Velvet was back; I thought it was awesome. But what was the point in bringing me back in December] if you were just going to bring her back a week later and then I was going to sit at home?"
"I know people question that like ‘Oh are you turning heel?’ And I’m like ‘No, not really. I’m just being honest."

Well if she does turn Heel , it looks like it will be an intelligent turn and not some off the cuff event that happens now and then.
She's already laying the groundwork in interviews and it sounds as though it may be a sympathetic turn.
Mickie turning Heel wouldn't bother me in the least as I have made no secret that she was one of my favorite psycho heels of all time in the WWE.
Psycho Mickie and Psycho Tara would be a dream come true for me.

Taryn Terrell Finally Gets In The Ring

Well it finally happened.
Taryn Terrell has finally gotten some ring action with Gail Kim.
I figured it was only a matter of time until Taryn wound up inside the ring... not as a ref but as a wrestler.

Well...we all hoped that would happen since Taryn is not only a pretty face, but was trained by Dusty Rhodes, Steve Keirn and Tom Prichard and has held the OVW Women's Championship.
Did you know she has also done stunt work in several movies?

So now we get to see her in some actual in ring action in TNA which makes me happy.
Because she's a trained wrestler...not because I think she looks like Penny from Big Bang Theory.
Really.
Though you know I could totally see Penny as a pro wrestler.....

Ivelisse Velez vs Lei'D Tapa

On October 11th, 2012, Ivelisse Velez had a tryout match for TNA, going up against Tara.
Unfortunately Ivelisse lost, however she came back on the February 28th, 2013 edition of Impact Wrestling and took on another Indy wrestler, Lei'D Tapa in a TNA Gut Check match.

This time Ivelisse won.

So now are we looking at yet another former WWE wrestler going to TNA?

I hope so because you know that I have been following Ivy's female wrestling career for a long time...way back when she was known as Juliet The Huntress.
I even did an online interview with her.

So I have been pulling for her first with WWE and now with TNA wrestling.
And yeah with Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) in Mexico.

Sarah Stock - TNA's Loss Is Mexico's Gain

You know, I think that leaving TNA must have been good for Sarita aka Dark Angel aka Sarah Stock.
I mean look at her.
She looks to be in the best shape of her life.

Sarah is back in CMLL now..well I say "now" but she was in CMLL and Japan during her seven months of inactivity with Impact Wrestling.

After nearly five months away (has it been that long?) Velvet came back and said that 2013 would be "the year of Velvet Sky as Knockouts champion."

I know that I try to devote this blog to the TNA Knockouts...but the most searched for woman on this blog is WCW, WWF, WWE Diva Torrie Wilson.
And since Torrie is no longer actually affiliated with the WWE that kinda makes her independant right?
Okay....I'm reaching.

Tara - TNA Women's Knockout Champion Again

On October 14 at the TNA PPV Bound for Glory, Tara defeated Miss Tessmacher to win the TNA Women's Knockout Championship for her fifth time.

This makes her a 5 time TNA Women's Knockout Champion, a one time TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion (with Brooke Tessmacher) and a 2 time WWE Women's Champion.
Her fifth reign in TNA ties her with former TNA Knockout Angelina Love who also held the belt five times.

I'm really happy that TNA decided to put the strap around Tara's waist again.
I'll even forgive the "Hollywood boyfriend", Jessie Godderz thing.

I dunno...I just kinda like the way they presented the match.

The Newest NXT Diva - Anya (Anna Bogomazova)

Has the WWE finally hit paydirt with their newest NXT Diva?
The "Russian Bruiser" Anya (Anna Bogomazova) was signed earlier and a lot of people wonder who this new Diva was.

Well it turns out she is has a black belt in Taekwondo and is a Russian female kickboxer.
Okay...a really good Russian female kickboxer.
She has been....

Yeah...she could be a female Goldberg.
Will that happen though?
Well unless the WWE writers read this and say "Wow...that's a great idea!"
I kinda doubt it.
