WWE Divas Champion Layla on Raw

WWE Divas Champion Layla El and Kelly defeated Natalya and Maxine on Raw last night.
Well actually it was just Layla and Maxine and Layla pinned Maxine in about 1:00.
Kelly never got into the ring and the only thing she did was blindside Natalya outside the ring after Natalya interfered.
Beth Phoenix got to talk junk at the announce table, but she only got like a minute to do it.
Layla will be defending her WWE Divas Championship title against Beth at WWE Over the Limit.
I hope that match lasts longer than a minute.

Is Lay-Cool Better Than The Beautiful People?

What is the hottest thing in female wrestling at the moment?
I think it's gotta be Lay-Cool.
Lay-Cool (or LayCool) has pretty much came up outta nowhere and out "Beautiful Peopled" The Beautiful People.
Yeah the WWE swears that the idea for Lay-Cool had nothing to do with The Beautiful People, and that's okay.
They finally gave us a great female heel team on the WWE, and maybe raised hopes that the WWE Women's Tag-Team belt might come back.

Since everyone is comparing Lay-Cool to The Beautiful People, let's see how they stack up.

Lay-Cool is Layla El, Michelle McCool and Vickie Guerrero, total years of experience = 15 years
The Beautiful People is Velvet Sky, Madison Rayne and Lacey Von Erich, total years of experience = 15 years

Looks = Okay...I gotta go with The Beautiful People cause Vickie Guerrero drags Lay-Cool's score all the way down.
Now...if they added Maryse...I'd have to do with LayCool.

Skill = Since the two teams tie as far as ring experience go, I'll have to go with Lay-Cool because Lacey's in ring performance has been so bad in the past, they have talked about letting her go.

One thing kinda scares me though.
On a recent show,Vickie Guerrero came out with Layla, Michelle McCool, Maryse and Alicia, and I had a flashback to Aunt Kitty and her gang on GLOW!

See what I mean?

Layla El - WWE Divas

wwe, wwe divas, female wrestling, women wrestling, wrestling women, women of wrestling
Another Diva I really dont see why they dont do more with. ( Was that a sentence? )
They regulate Trinity and Ariel to eye candy when they can wrestle and Layla is just sorta...." there"
The woman is gorgeous! The body goes without saying, but look at her face, flawless. Maybe one of the most beautiful divas they have. This woman should be front and center interviewing and doing promos for them.
Let those that can wrestle, wrestle and let those that can look good, look good!

Layla El (born June 25, 1978) is an English professional wrestling diva of North African heritage, currently residing in the United States. She is employed by World Wrestling Entertainment, and appears on the ECW brand. Before joining WWE in 2006, Layla El was a dancer for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association, and has also danced for Kanye West at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Layla El first got in to the world of professional wrestling after her trainer suggested she try out for the $250,000 WWE Diva Search contest in 2006. During the contest she won a week's worth of "immunity" on the July 14 (taped July 10) edition of Friday Night SmackDown after winning Sgt. Slaughter's "Diva Boot Camp" obstacle course - despite having jumped over several tires in the tire hop section of the course and to have not had both of her feet cross the finish line due to her doing a split. She won another competition, the "Diva Search Talent Show", on the August 11 SmackDown!, when she danced dressed as a police officer. She won the entire Diva Search, beating out Jen England in the finals on August 16.

She made her first "official" WWE appearance at the 2006 SummerSlam pay-per-view in a backstage segment with several other divas, during which they initially taunted and teased her before revealing that "it was all in fun" and part of an "initiation" of sorts. Afterwards they dragged her into the showers, fully clothed, spanking her and laughing.

The week after SummerSlam El made her debut as a member of the SmackDown! brand in an interview with Mike "The Miz" Mizanin -- although he didn't allow her the chance to say much, spending most of the time talking about himself.[9]view After this she wasn't seen on WWE TV for weeks, reappearing during the September 22 SmackDown! and getting into confrontations with both Kristal Marshall and Jillian Hall. She again went missing for a number of weeks, resurfacing at October's No Mercy event and embarrassing The Miz by tricking him into getting a lap dance from Big Dick Johnson while he was blindfolded and expecting it to be from her as a birthday gift.

El made her official in-ring debut, a "Diva Trick-or-Treat Battle Royal" on October 24. The match ended in controversial fashion when she was pulled from the ring apron by The Miz, causing her to lose. This led to a short teaming of Miz and Kristal Marshall in a short feud against Layla.

On January 23, 2007, El was moved to the ECW brand. On ECW she joined up with Brooke Adams and Kelly Kelly as Extreme Exposé, performing a weekly dance segment with the group.

Since winning the Diva Search contest El has also done some modelling work. She has been featured in a spread in King magazine and was the covergirl for the first ever issue of Liquid.

In April 2007, Layla, along with Ashley, Kelly Kelly, Brooke, Torrie Wilson, and Maryse, filmed Timbaland's new music video "Throw It On Me" featuring The Hives.
