WWE Diva and TNA Knockout News, Victora / Tara, Maryse and Melina

wwe, victoria, tara, tna

Former WWE Diva Victoria did show up on TNA, and now her name is Tara.
Tara?
In case you missed it, you can see "Tara" take out the Beautiful People.....

As of right now, WWE Diva Maryse has had the longest run of any WWE Divas Champion.
Well there's only been two....but so what?
She has held the title for 157 days and counting, which breaks Michelle McCool's previous record of 155 days.
Yay?

Speaking of Michelle, she said in her WWE Universe blog that Melina broke her nose in a recent match.

michelle mccool, wwe, wrestling

And continuing on with Michelle, she and Triple H will be in Japan in July at the MTV Japan Movie Awards.
They wil also be doing promotional events to help promote WWE's tour there.

Tonight on WWE SmackDown!, you'll get to see Melina versus Alicia Fox, and Eve Torres versus Layla El.

Last Night on Smackdown-Michelle McCool and Gail Kim

Gail Kim got beat last night by Michelle McCool in a number one contender match on Smackdown.
Well that's kinda to be expected right?
I don't think they are ready to do face versus face and have Melina go up against Gail.
The match was good, as the matches with Gail and Michelle are.
Gail looked like she is moving back towards her "submission specialist" move set.
Maybe the WWE writers ARE reading my blogs since I stated awhile back that I thought she should do that.
If so...thank you!
Mixing pro wrestling with MMA style submissions (especially in the Diva's division) is to me a very good idea.
female submission wrestling is very popular on the net, and the WWE could tap into that easily.

Picture this.....
A male heel comes out and starts running his mouth.
One of the Divas comes out and tells him to shut up.
Since she's a girl, the heel takes a swing at her.
The Diva ducks the swing, trips him and clamps on a kimura or a keylock or an armbar or even a triangle choke, applies the pressure and makes him tap out!
This instantly makes up for Wrestlemania and suddenly gives the Diva division new street cred.

Outlandish you may say?
As I recall, martial arts were originally designed so that smaller, weaker opponents could take out larger stronger ones.
You know Bruce Lee was about 5 '6 and his weighed in at around 145.
Gail has her submission moves, Beth Phoenix was a collegiate wrestler and aren't Michelle and Maryse also trained in martial arts?

Now if you read my blogs, you know how much I hate gimmick matches.
But if done right, this could elevate the Diva division to new heights.
And BTW, lets make that a one shot, limited storyline thing with a male wrestler.
I don't really wanna see Triple H versus Maryse as the main even on Raw.

WWE Diva and TNA Knockout News

WrestleZone.com has an article and interview with former TNA Knockout Roxxi Laveaux at their site.
You can read the article here.

Tonight on WWE SmackDown!, Alicia Fox and Michelle McCool will go up against Gail Kim and Melina.

The Denver Post.com has an article on Dr Death, Steve Williams and Former WWF Diva Dawn Marie's "Wrestler Rescue" work to help him out.
http://www.denverpost.com/headlines/ci_12347601

No certain return date for TNA Knockout Christy Hemme.
Christy is out with a neck injury, and she says she doesnt like the idea of surgery to repair it.
I can't blame her.
You can hear more on the May 13th interview at revolution31.com
http://www.revolution31.com/blog/

It appears that Sarah Stock is going to be called Sarita in TNA.
Funny...she's Canadian.
Oh well.
You can find out more at TNA En Espanol Con Willie Urbina.

And the WWE has signed blonde model and dancer Rachael Carr, who has been a body double for Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue to a developmental deal.
Imagine this, if things go well with her training, we could see a female British stable with Katie Lee, Layla El and Rachael.

WWE Diva News and Lots of Knockout Stuff

Brie and Nikki Bella

WWE Raw Divas Brie and Nikki Bella are up against MTV’s the Ikki twins in the category of Hottest Twins in Spike TV’s “Guy Awards”.
I saw the pics and really it's no contest for me.
If you wanna go vote, you can do it here:
http://www.spike.com/event/guyschoice/page/vote/category/31596

TNA will be bringing back Rhaka Khan after she gets some more training.
Rhaka (Trenesha Biggers) hasn't had a singles match on TNA yet.
And that's a shame because before TNA, this young lady wrestled for the WWE's Deep South Wrestling (DSW), Japan's Pro Wrestling ZERO1-MAX, Full Impact Pro, Women's Extreme Wrestling and the Professional Girl Wrestling Association.
I think she has a lot of potential.
But a major draw back here is that according to reports, not a lot of the Knockouts care for Rhaka.

At the TNA pay per view, Sacrifice, the TNA Knockout Championship match will most likely be Angelina Love against Awesome Kong in a stretcher match.
Kong has already beaten "Beautiful People" members Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne in stretcher matches.

You may also see TNA Knockout Jacqueline back on TV in the not too far future.

Lots of TNA Knockout stuff.....

tna knockouts, tna impact, jenna morasca

Evidently TNA Knockout Jenna Morasca is more than a little angry over people wondering just why she is in TNA.
And apparently it was an article by Dave Meltzer at www.wrestling-edge.com that drove her over the edge.
Mr. Meltzer had written that many in the company (TNA) are wondering exactly why she was signed.
Jenna responded to this in a post on her MySpace blog.
You can read it here:
http://www.myspace.com/jennamorasca

I have to admit I wondered why Jenna was signed as well.
BUT...I wondered why Michelle McCool and Maryse were signed by the WWE, and one of them is now the ex-Diva's Champ and one is the current.
So I have been wrong.

And it seems now that Roxxi actually requested her release from TNA.
She was serving a 60-day suspension for an incident backstage with Rhaka Khan that turned physical.
And some insiders felt that Roxxi was getting a bad deal because of the relationship Kurt Angle has with Rhaka.
Yeah I thought about that too, I just didn't say anything.

There's an article at The Daily Press about TNA Knockout Traci Brooks speaking to students about overcoming Erb's Palsy in her right arm.
I had heard about that, but I had no idea that Traci couldn't raise her right arm over her head.
You can read the full article here:
http://www.timminspress.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=1551052

And lastly, TNA has released the "Knockouts Blaster Pack" at their store.
It's a set of exclusive licensed trading cards produced by TRISTAR.
You can check them out here:

TNA Knockout Updates

O-D-B

A couple of TNA updates today....

There's a webmatch between ODB and Velvet Sky posted on YouTube....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1aLWUvj1LY

It appears that TNA Knockout Roxxi has been released from the company.
At least her profile is gone from the TNA website.
Roxxi and Rhaka Khan have been serving a 60-day suspension as punishment for a backstage altercation several weeks ago at iMPACT!
For the moment Rhaka seems to be safe since her profile is still up.
