The Most Popular Wrestler This Year - Chyna

Yeah I know that usually I just focus on TNA here and leave the WWE to my other blog, but at one time, I did all the wrestlers here too.
And this year, the most popular female wrestler on this blog is former WWF/WWE Diva Chyna.
Evidently she still has a lot of fans out there, because her entry from way back in 2007 was the most popular by far.
So here she is, the most popular female wrestler on this blog in 2015, Chyna.

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon Feud?

wwe divas, stephanie mcmahon, wwe wrestling

Okay I know that Stephanie McMahon technically isn't a wrestler.
Although she did hold the WWF Women's Wrestling Championship at one point.
But this blog deals with beautiful women of wrestling and Stephanie Marie McMahon-Levesque has always had a pretty loyal, almost rabid on occasion, fanbase so I think she's okay to include here.
Anyway, the The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE creative has been discussing an on-air feud between Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.
You know when DX was on TV a lot awhile back, they made several references to Triple H being married to "you know who".
Of course Stephanie has been involved in several on screen story lines with Triple H (and some off screen ones as well...Chyna?).
One thing that might be holding the storyline back is that she has been having trouble dropping the extra weight after their second child was born.
Maybe she should hook up with Vince's trainer, or Angelina Jolie.
She dropped the weight pretty quick.

WCW, WWF, Gorgeous George, Stephanie Bellers

female wrestling

Wrestler: Gorgeous George
Real Name: Stephanie Bellers
Birthday: January 25, 1976
Hometown: Rockford, Illinois
Marital Status: Used to Date Randy Savage
Married to Paul Caiafa with Daughter (8/17/02)
Height & Weight: 5'7" - 128lbs
Trained by: Madusa, Molly Holly
Pro Wrestling Debut: April 1999
Finishing Move: The Gorgeous Stunner.
Favorite Wrestling Moves: Elbow from Second Rope
Previous Gimmicks: Gorgeous George (WCW),George Frankenstein (3PW)
Notable Feuds: Charles Robinson,Kevin Nash,Jasmine St. Claire

Stephanie Bellars is a professional wrestling valet and the former girlfriend of "Macho Man" Randy Savage. She has been known as Gorgeous George and George Frankenstein.

She should not be confused with the famous 1940s male professional wrestler known as Gorgeous George.

Stephanie made her Pro Wrestling Debut: in WCW at the 1999 Spring Stampede PPV as Gorgeous George. She was dating Randy Savage at the time and was brought in as his valet, after he had parted ways with Miss Elizabeth again. She had met Savage in 1997 at a strip club where she was working as a stripper.

They only made one appearance and Randy got injured so she did not make it back to WCW TV until April 1999. Savage started feuding with Ric Flair so she started feuding with Flair's biased referee, Charles Robinson. In one of their skirmishes on WCW Monday Nitro, Flair "accidentally" grabbed her the wrong way and her top moved enough to partially expose her breasts on national television.

She had a wrestling match against Robinson at the Slamboree PPV on May 9, 1999. She used Savage's moves and Robinson mimicked Flair, who was his idol growing up. Stephanie pinned Robinson after a flying elbow drop off the ropes.

She did not want to wrestle again, so they replaced her in future matches with Madusa. They claimed that she was injured from the match, so she used crutches to get around. She soon used those crutches on "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and turned heel.

After leaving WCW, she went to a WWF event with her friend, Molly Holly. She was asked to appear on WWF TV and to confront Chyna. She told them no as she felt that she was not ready for the WWF yet.

In 2000, she returned briefly to ECW as George. Savage had Gorgeous George trademarked and would not let her use the name. She was Tommy Dreamer's valet for his match at Heatwave 2000 and turned on him, siding with Justin Credible. She was also in a brief feud with Francine.

In 2001, she appeared for GLOOW as a referee and also married Misfits punkrocker, Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein on September 1. She officially changed her name to George Frankenstein.

In mid-2001, she became a member of the X-Girls in the XWF with Kristina Laum and Chiquita Anderson. They were similar to the Nitro Girls from WCW. They came out and danced to entertain the fans during commercials. In early 2002, she left the XWF or was fired for missing shows, depending on who tells the story. The XWF folded shortly after that.

She has since appeared on the independent circuit for 3PW and WEW. In 2004, she had a few brief appearances in TNA Wrestling as Minsa. She came out to watch Jeff Jarrett in action. She disappeared from TNA after that.

WWF: Chyna, part 4

Once again Chyna's "injuries" allowed her time off until April 2001 so she could promote her biography entitled "If They Only Knew". During this time off it was also announced that Chyna would be featured in a second Playboy Photo Shoot. In March Ivory announced that Chyna wanted another Women's Title shot and since she had put her out of action once, she would do it again at the Wrestlemania X-Seven PPV in April. Unfortunately things did not turn out like Ivory had planned as Chyna "pressed" Ivory above her head and then let her drop like a box of rocks for the win.

Chyna defended her belt only 4 times after that match, 2 matchups against Ivory, then Molly Holly and finally Lita at the Judgment Day PPV. All of a sudden the "Ninth Wonder Of The World" was dropped from WWF broadcasts, never to be seen again in the ring. Imagine this: Your the top female athlete in the WWF. You've won two Intercontinental titles vs. men and you've obtained the Women's Championship belt and are still undefeated! You've sold a bizillion copies of Playboy with another on the way, and your biography has sold well. Your definitely on top of the world and your contract is due for renewal. Shame on you, you ask for more money this time around and the WWF does what they did to the last female Superstar (Sable) they created - they don't want to pay!

Rumors were flying for many months about the negotiations, but none of them were giving Joanie much chance of reaching an agreement. Joanie was unable to come to terms with the WWF and has now opened up her own web site, continues to make personal appearances throughout the country and is trying to establish an acting career. In December 2001 it was announced that her 2nd Playboy magazine shoot was selling well, and it was rumored that Joanie had stated that she made more money from the two magazines than in her entire WWF career. Going from a physical female "brawler" to a full blown Diva, Chyna showed women that it was possible to make it in the testosterone male world of the WWF, and how to do it with class!

WWF,WCW: Terri Ann Boatwright Runnels, Part 2

wwf, wwe, wwe divas, female wrestling, women wrestling, wrestling women

Terri then began a feud with The Kat because she was jealous of the latter's TV exposure. At WrestleMania 2000, Terri defeated The Kat in a Catfight. The next week on RAW, Terri invited The Kat to a beauty salon. However, Terri spiked The Kat's drink and dyed and cut her hair while she was unconscious. On May 6 at Insurrextion in London, England, Terri lost to The Kat in a Arm Wrestling match, but stripped her topless afterwards.

In June 2000, Terri formed an alliance with Dean Malenko, and on June 6 on RAW, Malenko faced Jerry Lawler (representing The Kat) in a "Over the Top, Off with the Top" Match in Worcester, Massachusetts. Though Malenko lost, Terri was covered up by Steven Richards before she could strip topless. The Kat went on to defeat her in a thong Stinkface Match at SummerSlam 2000.

In mid-2000, Terri became the onscreen girlfriend and manager of Perry Saturn and joined the Radicalz. The partnership lasted until Saturn, concussed by a double powerbomb delivered by The Acolytes, opted to continue seeing "Moppy" (a mop he believed was alive) when Terri told him to get rid of the mop or she would leave him. Terri then became the manager of wrestler Raven and joined the WCW/ECW Alliance in order to enact revenge upon Saturn, a goal she achieved when Raven stole the mop and fed it into a wood chipper.

In late 2001, Terri replaced Trish Stratus as the host of the WWE recap program "Excess" after Stratus became a full-time wrestler. She briefly feuded with Stratus, resulting in a wet t-shirt contest between the two on Raw, which was interrupted by Jazz. Runnels held the role until the program was cancelled. She then became a backstage interviewer. She wrestled the occasional match and has brief feuds with Molly Holly and Stacy Keibler. Terri defeated Keibler in the first ever Lingerie Pillow Fight. On May 27, 2002 she briefly held the perpetually contested Hardcore Title when she pinned a dazed Steven Richards, though he immediately pinned her to regain the title. She also began an onscreen romance with Kane which was abandoned when Kane turned heel in June 2003. Terri declined to train as a full-time wrestler, preferring to act as a manager if possible.

On April 3, 2004 Terri was granted a release from her WWE contract. She has since made a number of appearances on the independent circuit. On June 5, 2004 she acted as guest ring announcer for Harley Race's World League Wrestling promotion, and prevented Johnny Gold from interfering in the main event. She resumed a managerial role on July 10, 2004, leading Brian Costello to a victory over The Barbarian at IAW: Clash at the Cove 6. On January 18, 2005 she managed the Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey) in a Steel Cage Match which they lost to the Fantastics (Tommy Rogers and Bobby Fulton) in the Southern Championship Wrestling promotion.

In March 2005 Terri stated in an interview that "I am through with wrestling"; it remains to be seen if she has completely retired.

In May 2006 Terri stated in a news article that she had started a program called "Soccertots" a franchised program that uses fun activities to develop physical and mental skills.

Retired March 2005

Terri Ann Boatwright Runnels is a former American professional wrestling manager. She is best known for her eight year career with WWE, and as the former wife of Dustin Runnels.

Runnels was originally a make-up artist for CNN, and worked in the same studios in which episodes of WCW were taped. When WCW was purchased by Ted Turner in 1988, booker Ole Anderson invited her to become part of the roster. Terri debuted in 1990 as Miss Alexandra York, an accountant who led the WCW faction known as the York Foundation. The York Foundation was a consortium of wrestlers with finance themed gimmicks, including Terrance Taylor, Richard Morton, Thomas Rich and Michael Wallstreet. Terri carried a laptop (actually a Tandy 100 computer, which at that time had been obsolete for about six years) to ringside which she purportedly calculated the means (and time) necessary for her clients to win matches.

Terri debuted in the WWF at the 1996 Royal Rumble as Marlena, the cigar-smoking manager and wife of her real-life husband Dustin Runnels, then packaged as the eccentric, cross-dressing, bisexual wrestler Goldust. Terri managed Goldust until on November 3, 1997 he revealed his new valet, Luna Vachon. Terri disappeared from TV, re-emerging in 1998 as the manager of Val Venis. Venis fired her and ended their relationship when Terri announced that she was pregnant.

In November 1998 the jilted Terri formed the stable "Pretty Mean Sisters" (P.M.S.) with Jacqueline and Ryan Shamrock, both of whom also had reason to resent men. In one of the more controversial WWF storylines, when D'Lo Brown accidentally knocked Terri from the ring apron to the floor during a match, she claimed to have suffered a miscarriage. This was later found to be untrue, as was the entire pregnancy, but in the meantime Terri used the incident to exert control over D'Lo, who became a virtual servant to P.M.S. The stable eventually grew to encompass Meat, a male wrestler who the ladies constantly abused. P.M.S. gradually drifted apart, and the stable finally split in August 1999.

In late 1999, Terri arranged the "Terri Invitational Tournament" between Edge and Christian and The Hardy Boyz, with the winner receiving her managerial services and the sum of $100,000. The Hardy Boyz won the Tournament, which culminated in a Ladder Match at No Mercy 1999 (with the prize money suspended above the ring in a briefcase), and Terri spent the next few months as their manager until she was injured when Bubba Ray Dudley powerbombed her through a table on January 24, 2000. Terri returned on February 27, 2000 and cost the Hardy Boyz a match, complaining that they had not visited her while hospitalized. She then became the manager of Edge and Christian, but cost them numerous matches, including a bout for the WWF World Tag Team Championships. After she cost Christian a match on an episode of SmackDown!, Edge and Christian dispensed with her services. After Terri mocked the departing tag team with her signature "she-devil" taunt, Edge, noticing the gesture on the Titantron, turned around and speared Terri.

Rena Mero (born August 8th, 1967) is an American model, actress, and professional wrestler. She is primarily known for her stints in World Wrestling Entertainment as the buxom Sable character. As Sable, she was one of the first WWE Divas, gaining considerable popularity and gracing the cover of Playboy several times.

Born Rena Greek in Jacksonville, Florida, she was active in her youth and was interested in activities such as gymnastics, horseback riding and softball. After winning her first beauty pageant at 12 years of age, she eventually became a model, working with companies such as L'Oreal, Pepsi and Guess?.

In June 1999, Rena Mero quit the WWF and filed a $110 million lawsuit against the company, with allegations of sexual harassment and unsafe working conditions. During the course of the lawsuit, Vince McMahon counter-sued Rena over the WWF licensing of the name Sable. Mero reduced her settlement figure and eventually settled out of court. Subsequently, her husband Mark was released from his WWF contract. Mero used her real name for her appearance in September 1999's issue of Playboy. After her WWF exit, she made an on-camera appearance as an audience member on World Championship Wrestling's WCW Monday Nitro, but was contractually forbidden from working for WCW, although she stated that she wanted to.

During this time Rena made appearances on The Howard Stern Show and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. She also made appearances on television shows such as Relic Hunter and First Wave. She also appeared in the film Corky Romano. She released her autobiography, entitled Undefeated in August 2000. She also released a comic book entitled The 10th Muse starring herself as a superhero. She was signed on to star in the film Doppleganger 224, but the film was cancelled for monetary reasons.

On November 13 and 14 of 2001, she appeared as the on-air "CEO" of the newly formed XWF. These would be her only appearances with the company. In 2003 she announced that she and Marc Mero were getting divorced. Despite this, she continues to publicly use Mero as her surname.

Born August 20, 1967,Portland, Oregon
Trained by Brad Rheingans
Pro wrestling debut 1989
Retired 2001

Terri Poch (born August 20, 1967 in Portland, Oregon) is an American former professional wrestler, best known for her appearances with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) as Tori.

Terri Poch debuted in 1989 as Taylor Made, a valet for Scotty the Body in Portland's Pacific Northwest Wrestling. She joined the Ladies Professional Wrestling Association in 1990 as Terri Power, and on February 23, 1992 at Super Ladies Showdown in Rochester, Minnesota in the Mayo Civic Center she defeated Lady X for the LPWA Championship. She was never defeated for the title, as the LPWA ceased operations shortly after her victory. She also tag-teamed with Reggie Bennett during their mutual stint with the short-lived organization.

In the summer of 1992 Poch began wrestling in Japan for All Japan Women. She competed in the Japan Grand Prix, finishing ninth, and the Fuji Network Tag Team Tournament (with Kyoko Inoue as her partner). She remained in Japan until 1993, when she took a hiatus from wrestling.

In the autumn of 1998 Poch was hired by the WWF. She debuted on the December 28, 1998 episode of RAW is WAR entering the ring before a match to hand Sable a yellow rose. She continued to play the part of an obsessed fan over the next few weeks, constantly at ringside during Sable's matches. At the 1999 Royal Rumble she helped Sable defeat Luna Vachon in a Strap Match. Poch later introduced herself as Tori, and tried to gain the respect of Sable, but Sable continually degraded and humiliated her. This led to Poch challenging Sable to a match for the Women's Championship at WrestleMania XV. Poch was defeated following interference from Sable's bodyguard, Nicole Bass.

Poch feuded with Jacqueline in April and May 1999, and then began pursuing Ivory's Women's Championship in July. After Ivory defeated Poch at SummerSlam 1999, their feud became more and more heated, leading to the first ever WWF women's Hardcore Match on September 6. Ivory retained her title once more in a match which involved Tori having a mirror smashed over her head and being "burnt" with an iron. On September 26 Poch attempted to gain a measure of retribution by attacking Ivory during a match, but was pushed in a crate by Ivory. She was removed from television for several months thereafter.

Poch returned in November, teaming with Mae Young, The Fabulous Moolah and Debra to defeat Ivory, Luna, Terri Runnels and Jacqueline at Survivor Series. She also became the onscreen girlfriend of Kane. This led to a short feud between Kane and Viscera after Viscera repeatedly made unwelcome advances toward Poch.

On December 16 Poch complained to Triple H and Stephanie McMahon about Kane, by now feuding with his former tag team partner X-Pac (an ally of Triple H), being placed in a Handicap Match. Stephanie retorted by challenging Poch to a match that night, which she accepted. However, Stephanie replaced herself with X-Pac, who defeated Poch with ease as Kane was ambushed backstage by the Mean Street Posse.

Kane received a shot at the WWF Championship on December 20, but with the stipulation that, if he lost to Big Show (the incumbent), Poch would have to spend the Christmas weekend with X-Pac. Kane lost after the New Age Outlaws distracted him. However, Poch insisted upon her return that X-Pac had been a "perfect gentleman".

Poch began to become paranoid, and grew hysterical after Test hugged her. Kane promptly destroyed Test in the ring, believing Poch's claims that he had harassed her. Other wrestlers began to exploit Poch's neuroticism, using it to unleash Kane on their enemies.

Kane continued to feud with X-Pac, and on January 27, 2000 he was ambushed in the ring by the McMahon-Helmsley Faction (X-Pac's allies). After tying Kane up, X-Pac revealed that Poch was now with him. Poch turned heel, joining the faction and accompanying X-Pac and his partner Road Dogg to the ring. She helped X-Pac defeat Kane at No Way Out 2000, but he was beaten by Kane in their last match at WrestleMania 2000.

Poch continued to help X-Pac and Road Dogg, as well as helping Stephanie McMahon retain the Women's Championship in a match with Lita. The Faction began feuding with the Dudley Boyz, and Poch used a Flying Splash to drive Bubba Ray Dudley through a table on June 12. Bubba Ray gained revenge at King of the Ring 2000, where he powerbombed Poch through a table. Poch was sidelined with a torn labrum on June 24. She underwent surgery with Dr. James Andrews, and on October 30 she returned for one night, confronting and slapping X-Pac for failing to protect her.

Poch returned in January 2001 as The Ninja, a masked, anonymous figure wearing a black bodysuit who helped Raven retain the Hardcore Championship, attacking his opponents and acting as a getaway driver. Raven's Hardcore title feud with Crash Holly led to a feud between Poch and Crash's onscreen cousin Molly Holly, who finally unmasked the ninja on the March 11 episode of Sunday Night HEAT, revealing her to be Poch. Poch was then removed from television.

After acting as a Tough Enough trainer throughout the summer of 2001, Poch was released by the WWF in September 2001. At the time she made accusations about Raven, claiming he had verbally abused her (road agent Gerald Brisco and WWF Executive Vice President of Talent Relations Jim Ross claimed, however, that these allegations were not true). She subsequently retired from wrestling and concentrated on her yoga career.

WCW / WWE - Stacy Keibler

Stacy Ann-Marie Keibler (born October 14th, 1979 in Baltimore, Maryland) is an American actress and former professional wrestler, wrestling valet and personality for World Championship Wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment.

WCW / WWE - Stacy Keibler

For a few months, Keibler wrote a monthly fitness column for Stuff Magazine titled Getting Fit. Although her legs are famed for their length and beauty, she has great strength as well. In one issue, she speaks of how she recently attempted a 450 lb leg press. Although unable to push it, she did manage a 405lb leg press. In addition to posing for a total of five full pictorials, Keibler has graced the cover of Stuff Magazine twice, in June 2005 and March 2006. Maxim named her #5 in their 2006 Hot 100 issue.

Stacy has refused three offers to pose for Playboy believing that it would be better if she would "leave something for the imagination".

She competed in the second season of Dancing with the Stars. Her dance partner was ballroom dancer Tony Dovolani. Keibler managed to score a perfect 10 in the earliest round of the competition ever. Keibler received a perfect score of 30 from the three judges for her samba dance routine in week five. This prompted the judges to nickname her a "weapon of mass seduction." The following week, two perfect scores were awarded, one going to Keibler, the other to fellow contestant Drew Lachey. Overall, Stacy and Tony received four perfect scores. Keibler came in third to Jerry Rice, who placed second in the final round of the competition, and Lachey, the winner of the season.

Keibler has also appeared on MTV's Punk'd twice. Once, as an accomplice to Triple H's punk, along with Stephanie McMahon, in season five. Stacy was then seen again in season seven, this time being Punk'd herself by her boyfriend, Geoff Stults.

Keibler (along with Stults) is part-owner of the Hollywood Fame, a 2006 expansion franchise of the American Basketball Association.

Weight 105 lb (48 kg)
Born May 4th, 1979,Houston, Texas
Trained by Ken Shamrock

Retired 2003

Alicia Nicole Webb is a former professional wrestler and valet.

Webb was a waitress at a topless club in Houston when the WWF hired her for a one shot appearance in 1998 as Ryan Shamrock, the sister of Ken Shamrock. This led to a continuing job with the WWF. She joined the Pretty Mean Sisters (PMS) stable, along with Terri Runnels and Jacqueline. She later left PMS and was briefly a valet for Goldust along with The Blue Meanie, with whom she bickered. The storyline was dropped after Goldust was injured.

She left the WWF and got a job in WCW as Symphony, manager of The Maestro. She was gone by 2001 when WCW was bought out by WWE owner Vince McMahon. She wrestled on the independent circuit until being hired by the newly founded NWA:TNA. She worked for that promotion briefly as Aleesha, scouting wrestlers but nothing ever came of it. She and Ken left after a couple of shows.

From 1999 until early 2003, she dated Ken Shamrock. Don Frye commented that Ken Shamrock had cheated on and divorced his wife to date a young girl (Alicia Webb was 19 and Ken Shamrock was 35 when they started dating). Ken Shamrock, enraged by his personal life leaking out, got into a feud with Don Frye. The feud ended in a match during PRIDE 19 - Bad Blood, which Don Frye won by split decision. The two fighters have been on good terms since then.
