Wrestling News and Rumors, Velvet Sky, Trish Stratus and More.....

Today's edition has lot's of female wrestling news and rumors, including Velvet Sky and her bikini, Info on the Final Resolution TNA PPV, Former WWE Diva Trish Stratus having a birthday, a couple of wrestling results and of course, some female wrestling pics.

First up, a belated Happy Birthday to former WWE Diva and WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus, who turned 34 on December 18th.

I mentioned another former WWE Diva, Ashley Massaro hinting at a possible return to the ring on one of my other blogs....

Well the rumors continue (fueled by Ashley on her Twitter account) and we can add these tidbits....

I said before I think she would be a perfect fit at TNA.....

Since Lauren Brooke is leaving TNA, Christy Hemme may be taking over as the backstage interviewer.

At the TNA PPV Final Resolution, ODB will be taking on Tara for the TNA Knockouts Championship.

And speaking of Tara, she is currently pitching a reality show featuring herself, spotlighting her attempt to cross over from pro wrestling to mixed martial arts.

And speaking of ODB, she was beaten on TNA Impact! by the returning Nicole Raczynski, better known as just Roxxi.

WWE Diva Ashley Massaro Asking For Release From the WWE?

Ashley Massaro said on her Myspace account that she has asked for a release from the WWE. She says that her daughter is sick and she simply can't do both.
No matter what the controversy surrounding her release, I wish her well.
I always liked Ashley and saw a lot of potential there.
Above all, I wish her daughter a speedy recovery.
Again we have another example of a WWE wrestler putting their family first.

WWE's Ashley Massaro grapples to pin down 'Survivor' win

No doubt, as a WWE wrestler Ashley Massaro can handle herself in the ring.

But the real question is: How can she handle herself in the wild - as in China? The Long Island native is one of the castaways on "Survivor: China," which launches Thursday at 8 p.m.

"I actually went crazy trying to train as much as possible," said Massaro, who also appeared on the cover and inside the April issue of Playboy. "I just brushed up on my outdoor skills a little bit, practiced with a flint and all that stuff."

Massaro is one of 16 players who were left to fend for themselves in China in a quest to win $1 million. Also on the show is professional poker player (and fellow Long Islander) Jean-Robert Bellande and Courtney Yates, a New York City waitress who grew up in Boston.

"We have some pretty good characters," said host Jeff Probst. "This season, we have some very big characters."

Among them, of course, is Massaro

WWE Diva Ashley Massaro News

I wonder if this Ashley/Survivor thing is a good idea?
When Ashley gets in the competition, she wont be allowed back on WWE shows until it's over or she's eliminated.
Of course from what I've heard, her Playboy sales were less than spectacular, so Vince might not be in a huge rush anyway.
I think the best thing to do is let time pass quietly, and bring her back in with a huge bang like they did Lita.
Remember Lita's return?
Gail Kim and Molly Holly were beating the crap outta Trish, when suddenly out of nowhere Lita runs in and destroys Gail and Molly.
Of course it would be kinda weird to have Ashley rescue Micki James, but Candice Michelle would work. Though I think Mickie gets bigger pops than Candice nowadays.
And who knows who'll be on the show by the time Ashley returns.

Ashley Massaro moves to North Carolina????

Regarding Ashley and her suspension, the phrase being used for her temporary departure is "she's going away for a while." Also, Ashley posted a new blog on her MySpace page on Wednesday. No mention of the Survivor rumors. She said that she moved from New York to North Carolina last week to be with her family. She also mentions her storyline suspension, but she's "in character" when talking about it. You can read her blog at blog.myspace.com/ashleymizassaro.

Since she's on the mend, we really dont see alot of her anymore.
On the June 8 edition of SmackDown!, Ashley was "suspended" indefinitely after accidentally spilling Mr. McMahon's coffee on him.
