WWE Diva and TNA Knockout News

WrestleZone.com has an article and interview with former TNA Knockout Roxxi Laveaux at their site.
You can read the article here.

Tonight on WWE SmackDown!, Alicia Fox and Michelle McCool will go up against Gail Kim and Melina.

The Denver Post.com has an article on Dr Death, Steve Williams and Former WWF Diva Dawn Marie's "Wrestler Rescue" work to help him out.
http://www.denverpost.com/headlines/ci_12347601

No certain return date for TNA Knockout Christy Hemme.
Christy is out with a neck injury, and she says she doesnt like the idea of surgery to repair it.
I can't blame her.
You can hear more on the May 13th interview at revolution31.com
http://www.revolution31.com/blog/

It appears that Sarah Stock is going to be called Sarita in TNA.
Funny...she's Canadian.
Oh well.
You can find out more at TNA En Espanol Con Willie Urbina.

And the WWE has signed blonde model and dancer Rachael Carr, who has been a body double for Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue to a developmental deal.
Imagine this, if things go well with her training, we could see a female British stable with Katie Lee, Layla El and Rachael.

WWE SmackDown!,Gail Kim versus Michelle McCool

Last night on SmackDown!, Gail Kim and Michelle McCool put on a really decent match.
If I have to say anything about Michelle, despite the internet grief she gets, I think she is turning into a really solid performer.
She has worked on her skills and it shows.
So bad mouth her all you want, I think last night's match was one of the best Diva's matches I have seen in a while.

In case you missed it, here's the match posted on YouTube by KingHaffnerWWE1

The first part of the match starts here at about 3:51

And finishes here.

I really don't want to start getting pumped up on the WWE's Diva division, because every time I do, they do something (Wrestlemania) that makes me hate the way they treat them (Victoria's last match) and I regret getting excited.

WWE Diva and TNA Knockout Updates

Tons of stuff today.......

1. Remember the heel turn I predicted for Michelle awhile back?
Well it looks like a reality. Watch this weeks WWE Smackdown and see what I mean.
Man, I predicted this awhile back.
And I'm still not writing for the WWE?

2. On Monday Night Raw, Trish DID get to face Beth Phoenix!
Okay, it was in a tag team match with John Cena and Trish against Beth and Santino Marella, but still.
Again I predicted it!

3. Melina returned!
She had a tag team with her and Mickie James against Layla and Jillian Hall.
Okay, yeah I know I predicted Melina would return awhile back and I missed that one.
Two outta three ain't bad.
Ask Meatloaf.

4. Kara Drew, former WWE Diva Cherry, has a post at http://www.cherry-web.org/ addressing her release from the WWE and it's aftermath on her life.
When reading this, remember that BEFORE the WWE, Kara wrestled on the Indy Circuit for about 2 years.

5. TNA's Frankie "Kaz" Kazarian (Suicide) and Traci "Knockout Law" Brooks just got engaged.
Congratulations to both of them, even though I did NOT see that one coming.

6. Victoria posted an entry on her MySpace blog regarding her retirement.
Okay I made a prediction about that one, let's see if that pays off.

That about wraps it up.
But think about this, with all these "hits" I keep getting, am I psychic, or is wrestling just that predictable?

Is Michelle McCool Going to do a Heel Turn?

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Is Michelle McCool going to do a heel turn?
It seems on her blog this week she's talking about having a target on her back since she's the WWE Divas Champion.
And this week on WWE SmackDown! she'll be facing Maria in a non title match.
We all know Michelle is more than capable of playing the bad guy.
And think about it, a heel team of Michelle and Maryse would rival TNA's Beautiful People.
Plus they could bring back the "M and M" nickname just for them.
Of course bringing back that name would be a perfect lead in to bringing back Melina as a face, angry that Michelle and Maryse are using that name.
Which in turn could lead to Melina getting various team mates to go up against them, ultimately leading to the return of the WWE Women's Tag Team Wrestling title!
Hey, maybe Melina could get Mickie James as her tag team partner and they could claim the name "M and M".
Wow, I can really go off onto a tangent can't I?
Speaking of tangents, what's up with Michelle McCool, Maria, Maryse, Melina, Candice Michelle and Mickie James?
Does the WWE have some kinda "M" thing?

Former WWE Diva Trish Stratus number two in search?

Trish Stratus, Stratusphere, wwe, wrestling, raw,

WrestleZone reported today that....
" Trish Stratus was the second most searched person on the Yahoo search engine yesterday, thanks to the hype of her new travel show in Canada."
http://www.wrestlezone.com/article.php?articleid=222360430

I always wonder about that when I see it.
I check Yahoo search everyday and I didn't even see her name listed.
WWE was in the top twenty, but I didn't see Trish listed.
Maybe I just didn't see it, because I am seeing a lot of PR regarding her new travel show.

The Winnipeg Sun had a big article.....
For years as a professional wrestler, Canadian Trish Stratus traveled the world. But that doesn't necessarily mean she saw the world.
"People would ask me what it was like to go to a certain place, and I'd say, 'Well, I know about the Hilton and the arena,' " Stratus said. "And no offence, but arenas are all kind of the same.
"I always struggled with the question, 'What's your favourite place to perform in?' So I'd have to say, 'Well, my favourite time was when I wrestled here,' but it was mostly because of the match, not necessarily the place."
But now, through her new TV series Stratusphere, for a change Stratus gets to travel the world and actually see the world, too.
Stratusphere debuts Monday across Canada on the Travel & Escape network.

WWE Smackdown Diva, Maria

Maria, Victoria, wwe, wrestling, raw, smackdown, w

WWE Smackdown Diva, Maria

We haven't had a Maria update in awhile, so here's one.
You know that as part of the 2008 WWE Supplemental Draft, Maria was drafted from RAW to the SmackDown. Maria made her debut on the August 1 edition of SmackDown by defeating Victoria.
Okay I really like Maria and all, but beating Victoria?
Victoria has been wrestling since what....2000?
I'm all for the less experienced Divas getting more airtime and getting better, but really.....Maria beating Victoria?

On Tonight's WWE SmackDown!.........

Michelle McCool and Cherry will battle Victoria and Maryse in a ......Water Balloon match?
Okay....a Water Balloon match.......WWE is wrestling right? Or has it turned its women's wrestling division into some bad Nickelodeon Game Show?
BTW, Diva Search Winner Eve will be the special referee.
Referee?
Why?
I guess This will all lead up to the Playboy Bunny Lumberjack match at Wrestlemania.

And yes I do Rebbecca a lot too, but again, everyone seems to love her!

Ring name(s) Rebecca DiPietro
Billed height 5 ft 5 in (1.65 m)
Born April 14, 1979 (age 28)
East Providence, Rhode Island, USA

Rebecca DiPietro (born April 14th, 1979) is an American model, and former professional wrestling diva best known for her stint as the backstage interviewer for World Wrestling Entertainment's ECW brand.

From what I can tell, the closest she came to wrestling was November 2006 at the Cyber Sunday event, acting as a "Lumberjill" for the WWE Women's Championship match.

Unfortunately, On March 22, 2007 DiPietro was released from World Wrestling Entertainment. In an interview she stated that she had asked to be released from her contract and that WWE were understanding and told her that she can come back anytime.

WWE: Lauren Jones

The next Trish Stratus?
Lauren Jones is an actress, magazine cover model, and famed bikini model.
Some know Jones as a pro athlete, working for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) on its SmackDown! brand as a wrestler and scripted Smackdown diva. She was hired after appearing on the cover of the October 2004 issue of SmackDown! magazine with superstar Big Show, where she made such an impression on talent relations they hired her immediately. She was subsequently asked to join the company in their global travels and TV appearances and went on to prove her athletic ability in the ring. While on the road with WWE, Jones was trained by official WWE trainers, along with Hiroko (wrestling manager), and wrestler Rene Dupree.

Jones appeared on the show weekly and competed in SmackDown!'s "Rookie Diva of 2005" contest at No Way Out, with Joy Giovanni, Michelle McCool and Rochelle Loewen. She remained with SmackDown! during Wrestlemania 21 and for months following until leaving the company in July 2005 for career related reasons. Contrary to reports, she was not released from WWE and remains on very good terms with the company. It is reported through online interviews that Jones would accept an invitation back to WWE, however it would be to wrestle and ultimately aim for a shot at the WWE Women's Championship.
