Female Wrestling News - Mickie James, Beth Phoenix, Jenna Morasca and More

www.prowrestling.net is reporting that TNA Knockout Jenna Morasca will not be appearing on TNA programming for at least a few months.
She is currently in Samoa working as a contestant on the upcoming twentieth season of Survivor.
Filming has already started and will last through next month.

Pro Wrestling Illustrated has named Mickie James the number one female wrestler in the second annual PWI Female 50.
The PWI Female 50 ranks the best women's wrestlers in the United States in 2009.
Last years winner was TNA Knockout Awesome Kong.
I've seen this mentioned at several sites, but the first place I saw the news was at Diva Dirt.

I've mentioned a few times about the WWE not using Beth Phoenix recently, and now the Wrestling Observer reports that WWE officials have soured on Beth Phoenix.
As you may recall, Beth went almost a month without appearing on TV, and people were begining to worry about her future with the WWE.
One rumor was that she was "too big" for the WWE's tastes.

The Kurt Angle situation is beginning to sound like a bad Lifetime movie with Kurt, Rhaka Khan, Jeff Jarrett and Karen Angle, restraining orders etc.
And add to that what people have been saying for months about Rhaka being a looney.
Remember the Rhaka Khan/Roxxi incident?

TNA Knockout Updates

O-D-B

A couple of TNA updates today....

There's a webmatch between ODB and Velvet Sky posted on YouTube....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1aLWUvj1LY

It appears that TNA Knockout Roxxi has been released from the company.
At least her profile is gone from the TNA website.
Roxxi and Rhaka Khan have been serving a 60-day suspension as punishment for a backstage altercation several weeks ago at iMPACT!
For the moment Rhaka seems to be safe since her profile is still up.

Rhaka Khan's Birthday!

First off, besides being Christmas, yesterday was TNA Knockouts Rhaka Khan (Trenesha Biggers) Birthday!
So Happy Birthday Rhaka!

And two, I may have spoken too soon about TNA not subjecting their female wrestlers to gimmick matches like the WWE does.....
A "Santa's Workshop Knockout Street Fight"?
Really, these ladies are talented enough to have good solid matches without all this.
I know it's the Holidays.
And yes I do have a problem with the " Halloween Costume Contests" so it's not just Christmas.
Anyway, ODB, Christy Hemme, Roxxi and Taylor Wilde won and we don't have to dread anything like this again till maybe February.
I cringe thinking about a "Valentines Day Sweethearts Match".
