Female Wrestling, The FCW Divas

Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) is the "training ground" for the WWE Superstars.
You may remember it's former incarnation, Championship Wrestling from Florida from "back in the day".

FCW may just be a developmental territory, but I've been watching some of the female wrestling matches from there, and I have to say, some of these wrestlers are pretty impressive, maybe even out-performing some of the Diva's on Raw and SmackDown!

I really wish they took more of their ring talent from the Indy wrestling promotions (like TNA has a habit of doing with SHIMMER), but as I said, from what I have seen, they have made some really good choices.
Yes...for once I am actually praising WWE.

So here are some of the women wrestlers currently wrestling for FCW, and waiting to move up to the WWE...

AJ Lee
AJ Lee was born April Jeanette on March 19, 1987 in Union City, New Jersey and was trained by Jay Lethal, Mo Sexton and Azrieal.

Aksana
Aksana or IFBB Figure Pro Zivile Raudoniene was signed by the WWE in October of 2009.

Courtney Taylor
Courtney Taylor (Beverly Mullins) was a model before she signed with the WWE, and has wrestled in FCW as Daisy, Wesley Holiday and Courtney Taylor.

Jemma Palmer
Jemma Palmer, an English model and former UK Gladiator, played Inferno on the UK version of American Gladiators called simply Gladiators.
Jenna is a trained submission wrestler which could make her character pretty interesting if they use that.

Jillian Beyor
Before FCW, Jillian was a model for Florida Bikinis, Hawaiian Tropic, Stare Magazine, Tropic Beauty, Monster Tower, was a member of the USA National Bikini Team, and apperaed on the CW reality show, Beauty and the Geek.
Yes, no wrestling experience.

Liviana
Liviana (Karlee Perez) got some press for being busted for a DWI in June of 2009.
She started out working under the ring name Candy Girl, then her name was changed to Liviana.

Naomi Night
Naomi Night (Trinity McCray) was a cheerleader for the Orlando Magic before she was signed by the WWE in August of 2009.
Again, no wrestling experience.

Sarona Snuka
Yes, this is the daughter of legendary WWF star Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka.
Sarona is related to wrestlers Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Afa Anoa'i, Samula Anoa'i, Solofa Fatu (Rikishi), Tonga Fifita (Meng, King Tonga) , the late Eddie Fatu (Umaga), Rodney Anoa'i (Yokozuna), Matt Anoa'i (Rosey) and more in this incredible wrestling family.

Of course many of the current WWE Divas were trained at FCW and have many appearances there including Savannah (Angela Fong), Natalya and Gail Kim.

Female Wrestling News and Rumors: Candice Michelle, Trish Stratus, Stacy Keibler and More

More female wrestling news and rumors from the WWE and TNA....



Former WWE Diva Trish Stratus will be appearing in an independent Canadian action film called Bail Enforcers.
Trish will be playing the lead female role, Jules Taylor.
As you may have guessed from the title, it's an action film with lots of car chases, fights and gun play.

And speaking of acting, another former WWE Diva Stacy Keibler was on this week's Psych on the USA Network.

Over at Status Fitness Magazine, yet another former WWE Diva (and TNA Knockout) Jackie Haas (Gayda) is in the running to become a cover girl for the magazine.
In case you haven't seen Ms. Jackie lately, she has become pretty darn ripped and gotten into fitness big time.

And speaking of fitness, another former WWE Diva the lovely Kristal Marshall (Valet and real life girl friend of Bobby Lashley, wife on TNA) has really gotten into fitness as well.
She is now an IFBB Bikini Pro and ranked pretty high in the IFBB.
Kristal won Bikini Overall Champ at the 2009 NPC USA Championships and got her IFBB Pro card then later came in second place at the 2009 Arnold Classic bikini contest.
And she looks amazing.

Continuing on with former WWE Divas, yes Candice Michelle is pregnant and expecting this May.

Over at one on my other female wrestling blogs, I mentioned that because of her contract, Maria would not be able to appear on the WWE and Celebrity: Apprentice at the same time.
BUT, when asked about this on her Twitter account Maria said "I am not going anywhere."

And in other Maria news, the first single off her debut album Sevin Sins, "Fantasy" has a thirty-second preview up over at her website, www.MariaKanellisOnline.com.
The full album will be on iTunes on April 13, 2010.

If you are following TNA Knockout Angelina Love on Twitter...well you arent really following her.
Angelina stated on her Facebook account: "Hey Everyone, I know there are a lot of posers out there and I just wanted to clear up that I do NOT have a Twitter account! A lot of people have been asking me about twitter.com/TNA_AngelLove and I want you all to know that is NOT me..."
